Welcome to Reflections on Sonderlust. This is a page to chronicle the spontaneous adventures of one traveling gay woman around the world. After finishing my PhD from England, I was inspired to share my experiences traveling and connecting to people around the world.

I am originally from a small town in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains but grew up in suburban Honolulu. I did my undergrad in Los Angeles, before moving to England.

I believe by connecting to people around the world we can gain greater empathy.
